I am kinda curious about what everyone thinks about how the current classes are set up and if what sort of improvements they would make if they could. So I thought I would start a thread in the warlock's area and possibly start other ones in the other class areas if people deem it worth responding to. Think of it as a class wish-list of sorts. To make this concise and more user-friendly I am suggesting the following format:

1. Something over-powered about warlocks
2. Something under-powered about warlocks
3. A cosmetic change

Soooo....

1. Where to start, where to start....probably deathcoil is the single most powerful ability a warlock has. I do not think it is intrinsically OP'd but I think it could be more reactive to melee classes (something only to use to get them off of you) rather than something to use against anyone.

2. Deep affliction. As a tree deep affliction loses now matter how you cut it. There are better builds for raid damage and for pve soloing. In terms of pvp unstable affliction does so little damage that it is easy enough to ignore. Also many classes (rogues, mages and pallies for instance) have ways of "dispelling" UA without effecting it's only useful effect - extra damage and a silencing effect.

3. Green fire.

1. The biggest thing I can see is Warlocks being able to do so much damage to you whilst keeping you feared. More DoTs= better chance of being broken by damage.

2. Underpowered....hmm.....h.....mmm...mm...hmmm....they.. uh... hmm... can't.. ..no... let's see.... maybe... they can't... hmm.. how about no good burst damage?

3. Cosmetic change to warlocks: Need to appear more demonic in appearence.

Im just gonna throw this out there i hate lock.

1. during a 2v2 arena i was deathcoiled, feared, feared, deathcoiled and feared again. although this has been changed to reduce the affects in pvp now that was the one thing that makes me mad. i have never played a lock so i dont know how it works. and cooldown and if DoT's break the fear. im almost sure it does not.

2. underpower. that im not sure of.

3. im going with kal on this one...

In the end every class has their ups and downs. i think my main problem these days is druids but that should be getting fixed. instant fear beast is gonna be nice.

1. In Full S2/S3 A lock gets nearly 500 Resil, and takes less damage than Plate wearers... this on top of the best Damage, and control in the game.

2. In Less than full S2/S3 they are squishy bitches, and I eat them for lunch.

Hmmm guess got to reply i know i am new but have played several warlocks over span of several servers and going on four years. From my pre-tbc undead warlock, to my and full of belf locks and done it all from pvp to pve and raids.

1. If is anything OP about warlocks its that in BC we get more buffs in a raid any other class. 13% curse of elements, 20% imp shadow bolt, 15% sac'd sucubus, 10% shadow weaving. Seriously shadow priests aside name one other class gets THAT much damage in a raid setting. Give up? isn't one is WHY warlocks out dps mages we have more synergy. Is being fixed in wrath so we do not have such a HUGE advantage in that area.

2. Melee defenses, warlocks have NO viable methods of escaping melee, is purely a pvp thing. To some of above posters, Deathcoil is a 2 minute cooldown move gives you about 3-5 seconds breathing time... its really not good enough. Soul Link you'd think it was awsome but in truth problem is that, since we cant escape melee cant really do much but spam instant cast dots once a melee is on top of us. Essentially once a rogue or warrior gets to the warlock he's boned. In addition since pets don't scale with resilience, any good team will CC the warlock, and 2 shot the pet no more soul link=one dead warlock. This is most underpowered aspect of the warlock and makes pvp down right frustrating. Have ever had 500 resilience had a rogue gank you and stun lock you to death? i have... not fun when nothing can do about it absolutly NO chance for a warlock to get out of melee range anymore this is of course leading to warlocks not being used and even abandoned in arena by some teams as there just a liability.

3. Well only one real change love to see warlocks get well two. Flying class mount, and trolls able t be warlocks ^^ always wanted to be a troll!

Well According to many forums and jsut warlocks IG complaining about how from now on warlocks are going to go back to pre BC free Honor Kills should make many of you happy =]

ofcourse no one knows how long they will keep Warlocks that squishy....
