I thought I would start a thread on what you all think about the strengths and weaknesses of the priest class. This post has a similar structure to the earlier ones I created on warlocks and druids.

1. Something over-powered about priest
2. Something under-powered about priest
3. A cosmetic change

1. Versatile healing. I am really not sure if this is OP'd but I was having a tough time thinking of anything else. Priest have, hands down, the greatest variety of heals to employ in both pvp and pve settings. From HoTs, all sizes of direct heals, AoE heals, shields, preemptive heals, and oh-shit heals a priest is better equipped to deal with a greater variety of healing situations than other healers.

2. Lack of a substantial raiding dmg tree. Shadow works well in pvp and is good for soloing but lacks the raw dmg output of other dps specs. It is debatable as to whether the unique shadow buffs they bring to the raid (health and mana regeneration) justify taking up a dps slot - at least in 10 mans.

3. Hmmm...shadow form looks nice and I wouldn't change that. Maybe some type of holy form that gives the priest a celestial look?

That would be cool to see a holy form. It would kind of be like in Kotor with the dark side looking evil and the light side looking all holy and stuff. be kind of cool.

1. Disc, and Shadow are both Insane in PvP once geared. Also, priests seems to have a lot of high-stat gear compared to other healers.

2. The versatile healing requires that players learn the class more. The healing class with the most potential, also seems like by far the hardest to play. (Shown by the number of completely inept priests compared even to other healing classes)

I played a priest..

Got her to level 12..

I no longer play a priest...
